The RainbowLand Story
From our owner and director, Carol Yeaton
I completed my bachelor’s degree in accounting and served the corporate world for over 16 years. During a time of layoffs in my field, I decided to go back to school to follow my second passion, which is early childhood education. As the third oldest of seven children, I often helped my mom with my brother who was born with developmental delays and challenges.
I completed my degree in early childhood education in 1997 and began working as a teacher. After teaching for only a couple of years, I knew I wanted to open my own child development center to make a difference in children’s lives and provide a better working environment for teachers.
I founded RainbowLand in 1999 and serve as the owner and director. Each and every day is filled with questions – what can be done to make things better for the children? How can I better support my staff? How can I help them grow to better help the children who are our future? I feel I have created an environment that everyone involved can trust. The children trust they are loved, the parents trust their children are cared for and will reach individual milestones and the teachers feel they are supported.
